The Maglite® ML300L® 3-Cell D LED Flashlight is a full-size, high-performance LED flashlight built for professional work, security, emergency preparedness, outdoor activities, camping, vehicle use, home use, and general-purpose illumination. Powered by three standard D-cell alkaline batteries, it produces up to 746 lumens, projects a beam up to 403 meters (approximately 1,322 feet), and delivers 40,596 candela of peak beam intensity. Three output levels provide 32 hours on High, 112 hours on Low, and up to 298 hours in Eco Mode. The ML300L 3D combines high-output illumination with long battery life and a concentrated long-range beam. At maximum output, the flashlight produces 746 lumens and projects its beam up to 403 meters (approximately 1,322 feet) with 40,596 candela of peak beam intensity.

Three output levels allow users to balance brightness and battery life according to the task. High delivers 746 lumens for up to 32 hours, Low delivers 102 lumens for up to 112 hours, and Eco Mode delivers 23 lumens for up to 298 hours. The maximum Eco runtime equals more than 12 days of continuous light, making the 3D configuration particularly useful for emergency preparedness, extended outdoor use, security applications, and situations where minimizing battery changes is important.

2. LED Heat-Sink Technology with Quick Focus® Spot-to-Flood Beam Control

The ML300L 3D uses LED technology with LED Heat-Sink Technology to help manage heat generated by the LED and support efficient brightness and power management. Its optical system incorporates Maglite® Quick Focus®, allowing the beam pattern to be adjusted rapidly directly from the flashlight head.

With less than a ¼ turn of the head, the beam adjusts from a concentrated spot for longer-distance viewing to a broad flood for illuminating a wider nearby area. The ML300L 3D operates on three standard D-cell alkaline batteries, providing a readily replaceable power source without requiring a proprietary rechargeable battery or charging system. This makes the flashlight practical for emergency kits, vehicles, workshops, security operations, camping equipment, and other applications where replacement batteries can be stocked and installed as needed.

The flashlight is not rechargeable, and batteries are not included. Its dynamic power management works with the selectable output levels to provide different balances of brightness and battery life, including up to 298 hours of operation in Eco Mode.

Mag Instrument’s (Maglite®) only factory in Southern California is, and always has been. Our entire manufacturing workforce – from product-development engineers to automation specialists to machinists — reports to work there, as it always has. However, we can’t make every part, component, and accessory under our roof.  When we have to go outside, our strong preference is to procure such parts from a maker that is not only domestic but, if possible, local.

But in this age of trade globalization, it is not always practical for the manufacturer of any product of any complexity to procure all the needed parts and components domestically.  In addition to price, there are other and often far more important considerations, like consistent quality and stability in the supply chain.  We have even faced situations where no potential domestic supplier was interested in bidding on a part- or component-supply contract.  And so it is necessary, from time to time, to go overseas for a part or component, as much as we do not like to do that.

So when we say we are “A U.S.A. Manufacturer” whose flashlights are “Built In America,” we do not mean that no part, component, or accessory of one of our flashlights is ever imported. What we  DO mean is that our flashlights are, and always have been, invented, designed, and engineered in America and assembled in and shipped from our American factory where all of the body parts and most of the other parts are made, even if some parts, components, and accessories may need to be sourced from an overseas supplier.  And when our product includes some foreign content, we duly note that on the package labeling.

In this way, we strive to save as many American jobs as possible by keeping our manufacturing as American as it can be and still yield a reliable supply of a product of the quality our consumers demand at a price they will accept.

Mag Instrument, Inc. warrants to the original owner that this flashlight is free from defects in parts and workmanship for ten years from the date of first retail purchase.  Mag or an authorized Mag Warranty Service Center will, free of charge, repair or, at its option, replace a defective flashlight or component. (Mag does not warrant the future availability of particular colors or decorations, and may replace a custom flashlight with a standard flashlight.)  This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied.

EXCLUSIONS: This warranty does not cover any of the following: 1. Battery exhaustion; 2. Battery leakage; 3. LED burnout and/or LED module failure; or 4. Damage to or failure of the flashlight or any component thereof due to alteration, misuse, battery leakage or lack of maintenance.

HOW AND WHEN TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM: 1. In case of battery exhaustion, do not return the flashlight to Mag, but replace the batteries. 2. If the flashlight has been damaged by leakage of batteries, do not return the flashlight to Mag, but determine what brand of battery caused the damage and follow the battery manufacturer’s instructions about how to make a damage claim. 3. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from country to country, province to province, and state to state. Where any term of this warranty is prohibited by the law of any jurisdiction, such term shall there be null and void, but the remainder of this warranty shall remain in full force and effect.
