The Maglite® Green Spectrum Mini Maglite® AA LED Flashlight is a compact, two-AA specialty flashlight that combines the familiar Mini Maglite® platform with a purpose-built green Spectrum LED. The green beam is designed for applications where green illumination offers practical advantages over conventional white light, including outdoor observation, hunting, fishing, wildlife viewing, search and rescue, and low-light tasks where maintaining night vision and reducing eye strain are important. Green light is particularly useful outdoors because animals, insects, and fish typically do not react to a green LED light source in the same way they may react to conventional illumination, while the human eye responds well to green light. The flashlight delivers 45 lumens, a 104-meter beam distance, 2,679 candela peak beam intensity, and up to 27 hours of runtime. Adjustable spot-to-flood focus, LED Heat-Sink Technology, two useful output levels, aluminum construction, and a water-resistant design provide practical performance in a compact handheld package.

1. Beam and Runtime Capabilities

The Green Spectrum Mini Maglite® AA LED produces 45 lumens of green light on High, with an ANSI/PLATO FL 1 beam distance of 104 meters (approximately 341 feet) and 2,679 candela peak beam intensity. The focused green beam provides substantial reach for a compact two-AA flashlight while retaining the specialized characteristics of green illumination.

High mode provides maximum output for greater visibility and longer-distance illumination, while Low mode reduces output to 15 lumens for less demanding tasks and extends battery runtime. The flashlight provides approximately 13 hours of runtime on High and 27 hours on Low.

  • Maximum Output – High: 45 lumens

  • Output – Low: 15 lumens

  • Beam Color: Green

  • Beam Distance: 104 m / approx. 341 ft.

  • Peak Beam Intensity: 2,679 cd

  • Runtime – High: 13 hr.

  • Runtime – Low: 27 hr.

  • Runtime – Eco: N/A

  • Light Source: Green Spectrum LED

2. Technology and Features in the Head of the Flashlight

The flashlight uses a specialized Green Spectrum LED light engine rather than a conventional white LED. Green illumination is particularly useful for outdoor applications because the human eye responds well to green light, while animals, insects, and fish typically do not react to seeing a green LED light source in the same way they may react to other illumination. Green light can also help protect night vision and reduce the eye strain that may occur during extended use of conventional white LEDs.

The LED system incorporates LED Heat-Sink Technology to help manage heat generated by the LED and support dependable operation within the flashlight's aluminum body. Power-management electronics help regulate available battery power during operation.

The head also provides Maglite®'s spot-to-flood adjustable focus. Rotating the head changes the beam from a tighter, more concentrated spot for greater reach to a broader flood for closer and wider-area illumination.

  • LED Type: Green Spectrum LED

  • Beam Color: Green

  • Thermal Management: LED Heat-Sink Technology

  • Power Management: Electronic Power Management

  • Beam Focus: Adjustable Spot to Flood

  • Focus Control: Rotating Head

3. Power/Mode Functions

Operation follows the classic Mini Maglite® twist-head interface. Twist the head to turn the flashlight on and off, and rotate the head to adjust the beam between spot and flood. The Green Spectrum Mini Maglite® AA LED provides High and Low output levels, giving the user a choice between maximum green-light output and reduced output for longer runtime.

The flashlight also supports hands-free Candle Mode, allowing it to function as a small stationary area light when hands-free illumination is useful. This provides additional versatility for camp, field, emergency, inspection, and close-up applications.

U.S.A. Manufacturer

Mag Instrument’s (Maglite®) only factory in Southern California is, and always has been. Our entire manufacturing workforce – from product-development engineers to automation specialists to machinists — reports to work there, as it always has. However, we can’t make every part, component, and accessory under our roof.  When we have to go outside, our strong preference is to procure such parts from a maker that is not only domestic but, if possible, local.

But in this age of trade globalization, it is not always practical for the manufacturer of any product of any complexity to procure all the needed parts and components domestically.  In addition to price, there are other and often far more important considerations, like consistent quality and stability in the supply chain.  We have even faced situations where no potential domestic supplier was interested in bidding on a part- or component-supply contract.  And so it is necessary, from time to time, to go overseas for a part or component, as much as we do not like to do that.

So when we say we are “A U.S.A. Manufacturer” whose flashlights are “Built In America,” we do not mean that no part, component, or accessory of one of our flashlights is ever imported. What we  DO mean is that our flashlights are, and always have been, invented, designed, and engineered in America and assembled in and shipped from our American factory where all of the body parts and most of the other parts are made, even if some parts, components, and accessories may need to be sourced from an overseas supplier.  And when our product includes some foreign content, we duly note that on the package labeling.

In this way, we strive to save as many American jobs as possible by keeping our manufacturing as American as it can be and still yield a reliable supply of a product of the quality our consumers demand at a price they will accept.

10-Year Limited Warranty

Mag Instrument, Inc. warrants to the original owner that this flashlight is free from defects in parts and workmanship for ten years from the date of first retail purchase.  Mag or an authorized Mag Warranty Service Center will, free of charge, repair or, at its option, replace a defective flashlight or component. (Mag does not warrant the future availability of particular colors or decorations, and may replace a custom flashlight with a standard flashlight.)  This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied.

EXCLUSIONS: This warranty does not cover any of the following: 1. Battery exhaustion; 2. Battery leakage; 3. LED burnout and/or LED module failure; or 4. Damage to or failure of the flashlight or any component thereof due to alteration, misuse, battery leakage or lack of maintenance.

Mag Disclaims any responsibility for incidental or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions (countries, provinces, and states) do not allow exclusion or limitation of implied warranties, incidental or consequential damages and/or limitations on transferability, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.

HOW AND WHEN TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM: 1. In case of battery exhaustion, do not return the flashlight to Mag, but replace the batteries. 2. If the flashlight has been damaged by leakage of batteries, do not return the flashlight to Mag, but determine what brand of battery caused the damage and follow the battery manufacturer’s instructions about how to make a damage claim. 3. For warranty returns: Send the flashlight (postage or shipping prepaid) to Mag Instrument, 2001 South Hellman Avenue - 50600, Ontario, California, USA 91761-8019, Attention: Warranty/Repair Department, or to an authorized Mag Warranty Service Center. For the location of an authorized Mag Warranty Service Center in your area, consult the retailer where you purchased the flashlight or see the customer service section at www.maglite.com. For your protection and to expedite handling and/or postal claims, we recommend that all returns be insured and sent Certified and/or Return Receipt Requested. Do not send batteries with flashlights.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from country to country, province to province, and state to state. Where any term of this warranty is prohibited by the law of any jurisdiction, such term shall there be null and void, but the remainder of this warranty shall remain in full force and effect.
