2. LED Heat-Sink Technology with Quick Focus® Spot-to-Flood Beam Control

The ML50LX 3C uses LED technology with LED Heat-Sink Technology to help manage heat generated by the LED during operation and support efficient performance. Its LED and optical system are paired with Maglite® Quick Focus®, giving the user fast control over beam shape directly from the flashlight head.

With approximately a ¼ turn of the head, the beam adjusts from a concentrated spot for longer-distance viewing to a wider flood for illuminating a broader nearby area. This allows the ML50LX 3C to transition quickly between long-range viewing, general illumination, work tasks, and close-range use.

The ML50LX 3C uses Maglite®'s QuickClik® electronic switch to provide multiple operating functions through a single switch. Available functions include Full Power, Low Power, Eco Mode, Momentary, and Strobe, organized into four activity-based function sets.

The ML50LX 3C operates on three standard C-cell alkaline batteries, providing a readily replaceable power source without requiring a proprietary rechargeable battery pack or charging system. Mag Instrument’s (Maglite®) only factory in Southern California is, and always has been. Our entire manufacturing workforce – from product-development engineers to automation specialists to machinists — reports to work there, as it always has. However, we can’t make every part, component, and accessory under our roof.  When we have to go outside, our strong preference is to procure such parts from a maker that is not only domestic but, if possible, local.

But in this age of trade globalization, it is not always practical for the manufacturer of any product of any complexity to procure all the needed parts and components domestically.  In addition to price, there are other and often far more important considerations, like consistent quality and stability in the supply chain.  We have even faced situations where no potential domestic supplier was interested in bidding on a part- or component-supply contract.  And so it is necessary, from time to time, to go overseas for a part or component, as much as we do not like to do that.

So when we say we are “A U.S.A. Manufacturer” whose flashlights are “Built In America,” we do not mean that no part, component, or accessory of one of our flashlights is ever imported. What we  DO mean is that our flashlights are, and always have been, invented, designed, and engineered in America and assembled in and shipped from our American factory where all of the body parts and most of the other parts are made, even if some parts, components, and accessories may need to be sourced from an overseas supplier.  And when our product includes some foreign content, we duly note that on the package labeling.

In this way, we strive to save as many American jobs as possible by keeping our manufacturing as American as it can be and still yield a reliable supply of a product of the quality our consumers demand at a price they will accept.

Mag Instrument, Inc. warrants to the original owner that this flashlight is free from defects in parts and workmanship for ten years from the date of first retail purchase.  Mag or an authorized Mag Warranty Service Center will, free of charge, repair or, at its option, replace a defective flashlight or component. (Mag does not warrant the future availability of particular colors or decorations, and may replace a custom flashlight with a standard flashlight.)  This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied.

EXCLUSIONS: This warranty does not cover any of the following: 1. Battery exhaustion; 2. Battery leakage; 3. LED burnout and/or LED module failure; or 4. Damage to or failure of the flashlight or any component thereof due to alteration, misuse, battery leakage or lack of maintenance.

Some jurisdictions (countries, provinces, and states) do not allow exclusion or limitation of implied warranties, incidental or consequential damages and/or limitations on transferability, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.

HOW AND WHEN TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM: 1. In case of battery exhaustion, do not return the flashlight to Mag, but replace the batteries. 2. If the flashlight has been damaged by leakage of batteries, do not return the flashlight to Mag, but determine what brand of battery caused the damage and follow the battery manufacturer’s instructions about how to make a damage claim. 3. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from country to country, province to province, and state to state. Where any term of this warranty is prohibited by the law of any jurisdiction, such term shall there be null and void, but the remainder of this warranty shall remain in full force and effect.
