The Maglite ML300L 4D is designed to provide both powerful long-distance illumination and exceptionally long usable runtime. At full output, it produces a beam distance of up to 511 meters (1,677 feet)—more than five football fields—and a peak beam intensity of 65,407 candela - with a total light output of 1,002 lumens. This combination makes the flashlight practical for scanning large properties, outdoor areas, roadsides, campsites, and work sites while still offering lower-output settings when maximum brightness is unnecessary.

Runtime can be matched to the task: High provides up to 5 hours 45 minutes, Low provides up to 97 hours, and Eco provides up to 434 hours on one set of four D-cell alkaline batteries. That 434-hour maximum equals more than 18 days of continuous runtime, making Eco Mode especially useful for extended emergencies, power outages, and situations where battery conservation is important.

2. Advanced LED Head with Quick Focus™ Spot-to-Flood Beam Control

The ML300L 4D uses high-efficiency LED technology combined with Maglite's focusing head to give users control over how the light is distributed. The improved Quick Focus™ system changes the beam from a concentrated spot for long-range viewing to a wider flood pattern for illuminating nearby areas. The adjustment requires about ¼ turn of the flashlight head, allowing the beam pattern to be changed quickly without complicated controls.

The LED system and adjustable focusing head are designed to balance brightness, beam reach, efficiency, and practical beam control for everything from close-range tasks to long-distance illumination.

3. Multi-Mode Power with QuickClik™ Electronic Switching & 4 Function Sets

Rather than limiting the ML300L 4D to simple on/off operation, Maglite equips it with the QuickClik™ system, allowing users to access different operating functions based on how they use the flashlight. Available functions include Full Power, Low Power, Eco Mode, Momentary, and Strobe.

These functions are organized into four activity-based function sets: General, Outdoor, Law Enforcement, and Military. Each function set places different modes into an operating sequence so users can quickly access the functions most appropriate for their application.

The ML300L 4D uses the traditional full-size Maglite form factor with a durable body designed for demanding everyday, professional, emergency, and outdoor use. The cylindrical barrel incorporates Maglite's distinctive knurled grip pattern, providing a textured gripping surface for secure handling.

With four D-cell batteries installed, the flashlight weighs approximately 32 oz. / 907.18 g (2 lb.), giving it a substantial full-size feel. The barrel measures approximately 1.55 inches / 38.1 mm in diameter, while the head measures approximately 2.25 inches / 57.15 mm across. The supplied specification sheet lists an overall length of approximately 14.031 inches.

The ML300L 4D is powered by four standard D-cell alkaline batteries, providing a widely available, replaceable power source without requiring a proprietary rechargeable battery pack or charging system. This makes the flashlight practical for emergency kits, homes, vehicles, workplaces, camps, and other situations where replacement batteries can be stored in advance or purchased when needed.

Battery life varies substantially by operating mode, allowing users to prioritize maximum brightness or maximum endurance. Eco Mode extends operation to as much as 434 hours on one set of four D-cell alkaline batteries.

The ML300L 4D is not rechargeable, and batteries are not included according to the supplied specification sheet.

Mag Instrument’s (Maglite®) only factory in Southern California is, and always has been. Our entire manufacturing workforce – from product-development engineers to automation specialists to machinists — reports to work there, as it always has. However, we can’t make every part, component, and accessory under our roof.  When we have to go outside, our strong preference is to procure such parts from a maker that is not only domestic but, if possible, local.

But in this age of trade globalization, it is not always practical for the manufacturer of any product of any complexity to procure all the needed parts and components domestically.  In addition to price, there are other and often far more important considerations, like consistent quality and stability in the supply chain.  We have even faced situations where no potential domestic supplier was interested in bidding on a part- or component-supply contract.  And so it is necessary, from time to time, to go overseas for a part or component, as much as we do not like to do that.

So when we say we are “A U.S.A. Manufacturer” whose flashlights are “Built In America,” we do not mean that no part, component, or accessory of one of our flashlights is ever imported. What we  DO mean is that our flashlights are, and always have been, invented, designed, and engineered in America and assembled in and shipped from our American factory where all of the body parts and most of the other parts are made, even if some parts, components, and accessories may need to be sourced from an overseas supplier.  And when our product includes some foreign content, we duly note that on the package labeling.

In this way, we strive to save as many American jobs as possible by keeping our manufacturing as American as it can be and still yield a reliable supply of a product of the quality our consumers demand at a price they will accept.

Mag Instrument, Inc. warrants to the original owner that this flashlight is free from defects in parts and workmanship for ten years from the date of first retail purchase.  Mag or an authorized Mag Warranty Service Center will, free of charge, repair or, at its option, replace a defective flashlight or component. (Mag does not warrant the future availability of particular colors or decorations, and may replace a custom flashlight with a standard flashlight.)  This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied.

EXCLUSIONS: This warranty does not cover any of the following: 1. Battery exhaustion; 2. Battery leakage; 3. LED burnout and/or LED module failure; or 4. Damage to or failure of the flashlight or any component thereof due to alteration, misuse, battery leakage or lack of maintenance.

Mag Disclaims any responsibility for incidental or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions (countries, provinces, and states) do not allow exclusion or limitation of implied warranties, incidental or consequential damages and/or limitations on transferability, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.

HOW AND WHEN TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM: 1. In case of battery exhaustion, do not return the flashlight to Mag, but replace the batteries. 2. If the flashlight has been damaged by leakage of batteries, do not return the flashlight to Mag, but determine what brand of battery caused the damage and follow the battery manufacturer’s instructions about how to make a damage claim. 3. For warranty returns: Send the flashlight (postage or shipping prepaid) to Mag Instrument, 2001 South Hellman Avenue - 50600, Ontario, California, USA 91761-8019, Attention: Warranty/Repair Department, or to an authorized Mag Warranty Service Center. For your protection and to expedite handling and/or postal claims, we recommend that all returns be insured and sent Certified and/or Return Receipt Requested. Do not send batteries with flashlights.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from country to country, province to province, and state to state. Where any term of this warranty is prohibited by the law of any jurisdiction, such term shall there be null and void, but the remainder of this warranty shall remain in full force and effect.
