Transcript Maglite Oh, oh, Santa Claus here for the Maglite podcast. And it's tactical this time because we're joined by Phil Naman, uh, firing Line Radio. And he's a man who knows everything that there is about guns and ammunition and outdoors stuff and, and hunting. And well, he, he could tell you all about it. It's not something Santa's ever been into. I'm about as excited about doing that as I am about Ice fishing and I have to live at the North Pole all the time. Uh, honestly, we could use some sun when I'm done, uh, withthe, with the Christmas stuff every year. It's exhausting. Joining me here, Phil. Name it. Phil, if you were sitting on Santa's lap, and I'll tell you, boy, would that be heavy because you're a, you're a big, uh, what are you, six seven Phil (01:02): <laugh> <laugh>. Let's just say I would not be sitting on Santa's lap. Maglite (01:07): Yeah, Santa would go squish because Phil is a big solid guy. And, uh, all muscle too. There's just a, justa specimen, so to say. And he charges here on the Maglite podcast. And here we're gonna tell us if, uh, if you were to get whatever you would want for tagline Phil (01:24): Know, I, I never believed in Santa Claus until today. That's how Maglite (01:30): <laugh> Well, I'm, I'm glad, I'm glad to see that you've come around because Santa Ho ho holy believes in you. Phil, if you are sitting on Santa's lap, what would you be wishing for far? What, what kinda Mag Phil (01:44): Lights a can of mace, um, <laugh>, if you're asking me if I had a wishlist of which mag lights, I could, Maglite (01:52): What's your wishlist for Christmas? Phil (01:54): Like that Maglite (01:54): Little Phil (01:55): Boy. I like that question much better. Let's just, (02:00): Hey, I think you guys have a couple of really good ones. Uh, one that's brand new, right? You got your magtac two, I think as far as a tactical, there you go. As far as a tactical light, it's perfect. It's got greater ergonomics. Uh, it's even got finger grooves on it. So for hand manipulation, you know, we talked a lot about this with John Magley on my show Fire Line Radio show last week. And, um, you know, there's some reasons you have a light on a gun and there's other reasons you don't, but if you own a gun like a CZ 75 or a QUT 1911, and they don't have light rails on, most of them don't, anyway. Um, so you need to have a handheld light, particular type of a pistol. So there's lots of things going on. I think that that's a great one for light, um, uh, defense abuse of light, and it fits your hand really well if you had to use any defensive tactic with the light itself. So I think that that's a, that would be a great choice. Um, do you need my mailing address? Maglite (03:04): No, I, I believe me, I, I've got you. I know exactly where you are. Phil (03:09): I've been a boy this year. Um, the other Maglite (03:12): One up and, and down, but you're ending up on the right side. Phil (03:18): They're only get one light. This Maglite (03:20): One. No, no, no, no. Whatever. If, if you were to have the net wide open Santa sack filled with MagLites Phil (03:29): Santa, Maglite (03:30): What would it be? Phil (03:32): Well, I think another one that everybody should have is, again, the Magac is the smaller size, but the rechargeable, you know, it's what we have in our house. We have one in each place. So the Maglite rechargeable is, is a great, uh, great size. It's got the crown bezel. Again, if you have to do any home improvement, uh, you have an opportunity to do that. And, um, I think it's a great, it's a great light. So it's huge. I don't remember the exact Luman number, but it's big, super bright lasts a long time rechargeable. We've got that up at the cabin all the time. And, uh, not only The 300 is another great one. We need to have, just for prepping purposes, if you need a light that's gonna run 400 hours, right? The D cell, Maglite (04:18): Santa's got one right in his hand right now. ml300L four D, long lasting Phil (04:23): 400 hours of use, which is, I think comes out to Maglite (04:28): Just about two weeks of continual use. That's on eco mode, of course. Yeah, Phil (04:34): Those are my top three. Maglite (04:36): Well, Phil, you've been very good to Maglite this year and you've been, oh, it's generally a very good boy, except when you're not. We appreciate you joining us here on the Maglite Podcast with Santa Claus. And remember, even if you don't believe in Santa, I ho, ho holy believe in you. Phil (04:56): Well, you know, the best part about Christmas this year is I won the twin costume. Didn't have to wear that suit. Maglite (05:05): And with that, we thank you for being here on the Maglite Podcast. Phil (05:10): God bless you.

TRANSCRIPT: Maglite (00:11): Hello everybody. Santa Claus here with the Maglite Podcast. I'm asked to step in and, and do some special podcast with some special friends. And here we are with a group from Paracrew. Now, if you don't know who Paracrew is, they are a bunch of folks that whoa, they, they chase apparitions and magic elves and things like me. Uh, which, you know, I'm, I'm sort of a magic elf myself. I don't know, uh, Paracrew. Where, where would I fit in the panty on a Paracrew stuff? Santa Claus. Paracrew (00:46): Honestly, I think I'd be stayed on. I'd be on the bad list for the rest of my life if I wouldn't say it wouldn't be an angelic figure. You're an Maglite (00:54): Angelic figure. Of course. You know, I touch my nose and, you know, give presents to kids and go down extremities and travel all across the world at the speed of light. Absolutely. I'm faster than the speed of light, so I have to be magic. Paracrew (01:06): Yeah, absolutely. Maglite (01:08): Now, if, speaking of magic, if you had the ability, uh, and shadow is going to grant you whatever wish you want, when it comes to whatever Maglite product, I've gotta start and say with, with squeaks Paracrew (01:21): <laugh>, hello, Maglite (01:22): I have light product. Would, would you like to have the most, what are these big piece cheer for? So, or rechargeable, or a vent tech or what? Paracrew(01:32): To be quite honest, I'm gonna Maglite (01:34): Happy Christmas Paracrew (01:36): <laugh>. I'm gonna say that I actually would like to see if everybody in our paranormal community could get a flashlight from you for their teams. Maglite (01:45): Oh, that would be fantastic. From Maglite. And of course, you know, I've gotta say, uh, I have one fantastic workshop, as you can see from behind me. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>, but, well, Tony Maglica, my goodness, what a shop that man has. The place is huge. Paracrew (02:01): All Maglite (02:01): These machines that can do just about anything, Paracrew (02:04): Right? Maglite (02:05): So, so worker, by the way, not always on the Good list Paracrew (02:12): <laugh> Maglite (02:12): The work to do. Uh, if you could any kind of Maglite, gift it to your friends or family to make a whole happy Christmas, oh, oh, what would you be getting on? Paracrew (02:25): I would like to give them a start kit for those who are in the police force, military force, or firefighting, or paranormal investigations. So everybody would get like a start kit flashlight. Maglite (02:40): Oh, look, you know, of course we've been very popular with the police and fire first responders for any years. They, of course, are the first adopters of our product to police. And, uh, military likes them very much as well. Uh, and so that's very good. And of course, we honor our military, our police, our first responders, our firefighters here at Maglite they are very important to us. Uh, and finally, to you, sir,uh, if you were to, uh, be able to get whatever kind of Maglite gift you could have for oh, Happy Christmas, what would it be? Paracrew (03:14): Honestly, well, I was gonna say exactly what Sarah and Carlos just said, but they stole my answer. So honestly, I'd have to say a mixture of both. I, I'd honestly want a gift set for everybody so that way they have a mag light for every occasion. Maglite (03:29): Well, and of course, those Spectrum series in, in your world, the red and the green and the different colored lights, uh, are, are helpful. Now for me, some ghosts come call and I'm, I'm, I'm gonna grab the biggest Maglite I can find Paracrew (03:44): <laugh>. Maglite (03:46): I'm not down with those things, even though I'm sort of part of their world. Anyway, where can they find the Paracrew podcasts? Uh, so people can listen to and see you and hear what you have to say about your paranormal activities. Paracrew (04:01): Squeakers, Paracrew (04:04): <laugh>, Maglite (04:05): Somebody answer Paracrew (04:06): <laugh>. Maglite (04:07): Shannon's gonna get, Paracrew (04:11): You can, you can find us on Facebook and on YouTube called The Paracrew Podcast. Maglite (04:17): And by the way, their structural effects, uh, and their openings and closing, fantastic. Uh, something that Santa needs to work on, cuz I'm kind of low tech. I'm getting just use on this stuff. <laugh> Santa loves us to say thank you to the Para Group, uh, prayer Group podcast. And, uh, of course, have a Happy Christmas everybody. Merry Christmas and uh, to all the Maglite from all of the Maglite family, to everybody out there, Merry Christmas everybody. And remember, there's a mag light that's a fit for everyone on your gift list. I'm Santa Claus saying thank you to the Para Group for being here on the Maglite Podcasts. Oh, Merry Christmas Works.

Transcript: Maglite: Oh, oh, Santa here. I've been asked to do a very special podcast edition for my friends at Maglite, and here we are with a very special guest. And by the way, I've gotta tell you about the only person who has a, a shop that I'm jealous of has gotta be Tony Maglica, if you've ever been to Maglite my what a shop they have, what kind of toys I could make there. Anyway, Mark Berte joins us. Here he is with the Share the Beach organization, which by the way, if you know anyone who cares about sea turtles, you can get these lovely mag lights, share the beach logo. And by the way, they're the very special red, and that is part of the Mag Light Series of colored Lights. Uh, well, they are in a different spectrum. You see, here the Spectrum Series in red, green, soft, white, blue, and others. And you can get all those lights at maglite.com especially. Check out our gift guide as well. Oh, so Mark, tell us about your organization and the work you do with Maglite. Mark (01:23): Absolutely. Santa, we are really honored to be a part of this. Uh, as you'd said, the Alabama Coastal Foundation's Chair of the Beach program, uh, has partnered with Mag Light. And literally this is, this will be the best stocking sufferer for any child, grandchild, it, even great ch grandchild, uh, if it's right in the stocking, but also helps our sea turtles and helps to support a great organization, the Alabama Coastal Foundation. Uh, we run the Share the Beach, uh, program. And as, uh, as, uh, Santa had mentioned, we have a nice, uh, logo on these, uh, flashlights. Uh, they were actually designed by Maglite. I know we just have Veterans Day, uh, but for, uh, cockpits, uh, for Air Force pilots. And so, uh, they do provide ample about of lighting, uh, for any human use on the beaches, uh, is whether you're in Alabama, uh, where it's a little bit warmer right now. Santa, I'm gonna turn my camera. So you can see the, uh, the Gulf of Mexico right there. It's about, uh, 70 Maglite (02:24): Santa would melt in about five minutes Mark (02:27): Exactly. But we have, sea turtles are all around the world, so our flashlights will help any program that supports our sea turtle conservation efforts. Not only Maglite (02:37): Can you explain to people how the spectrum of vision works and why the turtles don't necessarily see this light. Mark (02:43): Absolutely. Well, it's really important, especially in Alabama May through October to make sure we don't have those white flashlights on our beaches because it disorients those mama sea turtles from coming up, uh, to the nest. To nest. Um, and they've been, been doing this for millions of years. And, uh, so we are, uh, we are happy to, uh, not, you know, disturb them from their natural process. And then when those hatchling try to make their way back into the Gulf of Mexico after about, you know, 55 days or so, uh, in the nest, um, then, then that we want to make sure we don't disorient them with the light sand those red l e d lights that we, we researched this for years and we were so honored to partner with, uh, such a great, uh, company as Mag Instruments. And, uh, these are very durable. Uh, they're, um, uh, water resistant, drop resistant. Uh, they're, uh, wonderfully, uh, uh, they, whenever you get 'em, you have them, those little packages as well as a case as well as you get the flashlight and the little, uh, clip for the pin, Maglite 03:46): What the Maglite people call a pres box, a presentation box. Mark (03:50): And it's really, is beautiful. And, uh, again, flashlight, I mean, uh, battery included. Uh, so you don't have to worry about that. But any, uh, grandparent, uh, looking for a or, or a parent looking for a great stocking stuffer, this is the, the, the present. And it's so easy to do. Um, you can go to our website, joinacf.org. If you put in ACF20, you'll get a 20% discount. Maglite (04:14): ACF stands for Alabama Coastal Foundation, and the share of the beach symbol and logo is all over. Everything with that cute little turtle. I love those sea turtles. Very, very wonderful creation. Mark (04:24): Absolutely. Yes. I'm sure you look down and can see them when you're flying over the water Santa. Maglite (04:29): Well, they leave this trail of light so you, you can see them. Definitely. And when, uh, when, when I'm done, uh, I shall come down to the coast and get some sun, but not wearing this, just saying.Understood. Little bit warm. Mark Berte. I'm, I'm so glad to have you from the Alabama CoastalFoundation, Santa Claus, signing off for the Maglite Podcast. Merry Christmas everybody. Mark (04:52): Merry Christmas.

Transcript: Maglite (00:10): Oh, oh. Santa here and I've been asked to do some Special Mag Light podcasts this year. You know, magLight has those wonderful flashlights and those whole different kinds. And Santa Claus have been using them to light his way on Christmas Eve ever since Rudolph retired. And uh, well I gotta tell you, there are some flashlights that, uh, well they're on my naughty list cuz they burn out and they break. But the Maglites, no matter where I go, if I fall down a chimney and if I land too hard on a roof, they still work. And one of Santa's favorite things. And of course they make a great gift for everyone. And joining us on this podcast, we have our special guest. He's been very good this year and he's been particularly good for many years as a patriot and a wonderful guy and an inspirational speaker. And we're glad to have him here. Chris Paronto. Hello Chris. Kris (01:05): Hey, well thank you for having me Santa. I appreciate it buddy. And yeah, I have been good. So I need alot of Maglite stuff this year. Give me a Maglite swag. Just keep bringing it, bringing it, I can use it.<laugh>. Maglite (01:17): No, I understand. You've been using Mag Lights for years and in fact, I, I review that you did with Mag like some time ago. Yeah. With that blue Desmond guy, by the way. What a character that one is. Goodness. Kris (01:29): Yeah. Yeah. I don't know if he deserves any presence this year, but you know what, Maglite (01:33): Talk about a guy who loves to hear himself talk Kris (01:36): <laugh>. Um, yeah, I, I would agree with that a little bit, just a tad. But he's, he's, he has a good heart though, and that's the key. He's got a good heart. Good. Maglite (01:45): He's about the, he has the face for radio, I'll tell you that. Anyway, Kris (01:51): <laugh>. Maglite (01:52): So Chris, you look like you're in great shape, but you're recovering from an injury, is that correct? Kris (01:58): That is correct. Actually, I, I got my little silks on, but I'll stand up. I'm got the brace on right now. Got that quadricep quadricep tear, but getting it done and, and getting it ret stretched out. So gotta gotta still get in shape, man. Can't, can't get outta shape just cuz I got a little injury on me. Maglite (02:16): Well, Santa Santa's had his, uh, share of injuries over the years. You, you travel that fast that far and godown that many chimneys and, uh, bad things are bound to happen. And, uh, thankfully I'm a magical old fat elf and, uh, you know, the injury seal pretty quickly. I just twinkle on my nose and the bone goes right back together. And where do you know, that's Kris (02:38): What I want for Christmas. I want, I want a new quadricep tendon. Can I get one for Christmas? Maglite (02:42): Here? We can do something about that. Kris(02:44): Okay. Thanks buddy. Maglite (02:46): So these MagTac 2's, yeah, this is, uh, one of the newer items at Maglite. And my understanding is you love this old flashlight Kris (02:56): That is tremendous. It's actually, I have it right by my desk, right in my room, I should say my, my bedside table there because it, it's, first of all, it's, it's rugged. I do like the bevels, the bevels in the middle, it holds well. You can just, it just fits in your hand. It's perfect. It's like Harry Potter's one, when he found his wand, it was the tack light when I put it, that tack mag light in my hand was like, man, that thing is perfect. And of course it just, the looms is perfect. It burns as bright. It's a great torch. But just the way it feels and also the way it manipulates just the easy press buttons on the back and it's, it doesn't get caught. It's, it's so simple to use. But those beveled edges, I tell you what, those bevels in the middle, that is something I don't know if, I don't know if it's proprietary to Maglite, but that should be because Maglite (03:40): Oh hell yes, that's proprietary to Mag. Like Mr. Mag, he's very serious about pretending his his intellectual property. Uh, not a man that you wanna try to knock something off, if you know what I'm saying. You find yourself on the wrong side. The courtroom Kris (03:57): <laugh>, that's, well, I won't do it. I'm, I'm on his side. I want, I wanna be with whatever he's making to send me some, and, and, and definitely I'll use it. And I've got mag lights actually positioned all over my house. Not just the MagTac, but I've got all the other Maglites that as far as the, the, uh, the, um, battery power, you know, and we've got all the, uh, the, what, how, what's the word I'm looking for when they're not battery powered, but, Maglite(04:22): Oh, rechargeable. Kris (04:24): Rechargeable. But every room has a mag light. So if we lose power, I've got one ready to go. And, and it works. And actually we've lost power a couple times out here in the Midwest. It happens in the spring. And having that mag light ready to go there, that's a good, uh, that's, that one is actually in my laundry room. That one I've got it looked up in my laundry room right now. And that's Maglite (04:45): Rechargeables high end there. That ML one 50, LR rechargeable right there. Santa Claus has one of those in his bar out where the reindeer are. Uh, because you know, you go wandering out there in the middle of the night and forget you don't have a flashlight and well, thank goodness you've got one out there. Kris (05:03): Bad things happen to you if you don't have one. Maglite (05:05): Always, always good to have something charging. Well Chris, we wanted to have you on because like I said, you've always been a very, well, not always, most of the time you've been a very good boy. And we like you and we've seen that you've done something with Mag like previously and of course Anthony Maglica and the whole mag like of family, they've been very good over the years and so Santa's been good to them and they've been very good to the world. So mag lights everywhere, uh, in the house.Everybody should follow that advice from Chris Toto, thank you for being here with Santa on the Maglite podcast. Ha, Merry Christmas everybody, Kris (05:43): My honor. Santa, you'd be safe out there.
