Mag Instrument, Inc. was started in 1955 by the president and founder of the company, Anthony (Tony) Maglica. Mag was first housed in a small garage with only one employee, Mr. Maglica. Today, in contrast, the company’s operations are spread over 11 different buildings totaling some 700,000 square feet.

  • Setup & operate machine for specific jobs according to process
  • Ability to measure equipment and manufacturing processes

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
-High School Diploma or Equivalent
– Experience with Espirit programming
– Sinker EDM experience a plus

Summary/Objective

The Product Design Drafter will be responsible for building to the design drawings mechanical components used on systems. They will participate in the coordination, assembly, modification, installation, and repairs of mechanical assembly machines.

 

Essential Functions

  • Positive can-do attitude

  • Stamped part drafting experience
  • Deep drawn part drafting experience
  • Knowledge of plastics and metals
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, stamping, molding, etc.)

We are looking for a highly skilled professional to join our growing and future oriented team located in Ontario, California.

Summary/Objective

The Industrial Product Design Engineer will work closely with the Company President and will be responsible for designing and developing various products/product families. Successful candidate appreciates the requirement of aesthetic design in the context of the shape, style and overall appearance of a high-quality consumer product/tool with unsurpassed performance and reliability and with a focus on least cost manufacturing in the context of machinability, molding and/or automation.

Essential Functions
Key attributes for this position are as follows

  • Ensures design efficiently and effectively utilizes materials, labor and capital resources.
  • Generates a design specification after discussion with company management, sales team and market survey.
  • Designs, models, develops samples and tests finished product for quality performance and reliability purposes and recommends changes to product specifications as necessary.

The qualified candidate should have:

  • 5-10 years minimum related work experience.
  • Ability to trouble shoot and repair complex production equipment including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical, electronic and laser optics equipment
  • Must be able to read and understand Electrical and Mechanical Blueprints
  • Must have understanding of Servo and Stepper Motors
  • Computer literate

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Gathering of parts, subassemblies, tools and materials in preparation for production
  • Insert switch assembly in-housing. Ensure proper alignment.
  • Ability to remember assembly sequence and maintain visual attention on assembly work with up to 25 components.
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing daily housekeeping requirements; follow manufacturer’s instructions; reporting malfunctions to Supervisor and/or lead.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and safety regulations.
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a high volume and multiple demand environments.
  • Packages products, accessories, spares, etc., in containers, blister packages, plastic bags and cartons.
  • Set-up and operate automatic bagging equipment.
  • Load and cycle several types of packaging machines with products, blister packs, cards and literature.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
